18:37 65s on K73ssx. You say something about him being likely to hit this board. I don't see how a 75 vpip fish is likely to connect with a relatively dry K-high board. So far he's completed small blind (probably does this near 100%) and called a 3x raise (probably does this more often than not), so his range is almost certainly over 50% of dealt hands. A huge chunk of those hands will have no pair, no draw on this board. I also don't think it's necessary to bet 3/4 pot. Since we're just trying to fold out air, we can bet 2/3 or even 1/2 and show a big immediate profit.

Whats to say that a 75% VPIP fish folds air?

Fair enough :) But most people usually fold air. I think that's a pretty decent assumption to operate under until proven otherwise. If we don't feel good about cbetting this flop, I wonder if we should be raising this hand pre-flop.

I don't think not cbetting a gutshot is reason to not raise pre. As I believe I mention in the video, I'm only raising 3x instead of 4x because I don't think we have much FE, but have a hand that could play well postflop- having implied odds w/ a speculative hand. I think this is something a lot of players have trouble with: betting without a purpose. Just because we raised pre doesn't give us *enough reason to bet a flop. I am not betting here because I would need to bet all spade, A, 8, 9 turns and I don't think we have much fold equity on many of those cards. - side note: we only have the backdoor flush draw... not the flopped one as you say. In this scenario, I'm happier taking our equity when our actions are going to be more profitable. If he checks twice, I think it is very easy to delay cbet and follow through on most rivers. If he leads the turn when we haven't improved, we can fold or raise if we think we have FE. If he leads the turn when we DO improve, it's a pretty clear call imo. -> Given these actions, I believe we actually give ourselves some FE by defining the villian's range. ** Hope that helps!

first hand I think we should definitely cbet. First of all, any 9 or K gives us an OESD, any A or a 8 a gutter, + 7 bare FD outs and 6 top pair outs, thats 29 good turn cards total. But more importantly, while it is true that we probably dont have much immediate fold equity, much of villains callingrange will be weak draws that we can get him off of. I would expect a weak passive player to always x/c any pair + any gutter and ocaissonaly pure overs, given that, even board pairing turn cards are profitable for us to brl since villain has no pair more than half the time (and even if he chosses to call turn on a 3 with J9, we win at SD still, even if we can't brl). So I think we should brl any 2, 3, 7, T, J, Q, K, A and club, and probably take a free card on 9 and 8 turns, as well as 4, 5 and 6.
