At 35:45 you say that raising the KTo on K65r board is bad and I kinda agree if it were HU. But you also have the cc in the bb in the pot and say if he has a straight draw by flatting the donks bet you are giving the cc in the bb correct pot odds to draw to his straight.

i have not had much profit picking on limpers. They pick up on the fact your picking on them and start check raising on a lot of flops. Or all have a marginal hand and i bet with top pair he calls or raises and im in a tough spot. But anyways the pocket 5s play him re raising i think is a little to loose. straights, flushes and even fullhouses can be there. I would just call. You can easily be beat there.

    I loved this series

I really got a lot out of this series. The format of hearing two sides really helped get the point through. Going to check out the other more recent videos like this. I watched it and then played a session and I made some mistakes. One of the mistakes was trying to bluff a player off a pocket pair when an ace flopped by doing exactly what you said wouldn't work. As soon as the hand was over I flashed back to that discussion in the video and felt like an idiot. Later on I was able to handle that spot better by giving up trying to bluff and the other time I made the bluff believable and came back out of the hole to have a good session. By the way. That kings full hand. Villain played it exactly how all tagfish play top set at microstakes. At least at full ring. Most aren't balancing their ranges and they're not barelling the turn with less than 2 pair. I usually make the mistake of playing the hand fast if I turn an OESD along with a FD and my pair. Seems the only way to get tagfish to put a lot of money in the pot is before I make my hand. Just pokerstoved it and it's not the best play against players that have such narrow ranges but I've run well above EV in those spots.

    raise for value.....
    11 Jul 2011 at 12:35am
at 5:45, when you are big blind and CO limps, how can you not raise for value with ajo? Our hand can dominate soooo many hands in his range. It is reasonable to eliminate hands like AA KK QQ AK from his hand range (even tightest of players raise these). He can have any pp, j9+, suited connectors a2+. There are so many hands to get value from that are worse to not raise
