Please guys, when you publish a video, make thread in the forum simultaneously. It's getting frustrating not being able to find a thread in which to post a question. To be brief: excellent video, but please try to stop saying 'you know' every ten seconds. I know it's difficult to do, because it's awfully hard to talk for an hour straight without doing something like that. Just some friendly advice on my part. :)

ElTorreroRubio, I am glad you liked the video. I apologize if you found me distracting by my saying "you know" too often. As you correctly said, it is sometimes a bit difficult to talk for an hour (or in this case, almost an hour and a half) in a row, keeping my thoughts straight the entire time. I will try to avoid such verbal tics in future videos.

Man just talk however is natural to you, nobody really should care about that and I dont want to miss on something because you are trying to forecefuly edit yourself as you speak. As for the vid good stuff, but personally I would love more 6max or FR, or even some kind of concept presentation vid, gj anyway :)

I'm sorry but I have to agree about the verbal tics. I like you and your style, but it's been grating on me the past 2 vids especially. I had to turn them both off after a while because I couldn't take it anymore with 'you know' every 5 seconds and other verbal tics. It is ok to allow silence if you are thinking of what to say or don't know what to talk about. Something I would work on cause your strategy and personality are very good sir. :)

OK now I am getting slightly annoyed. I am not filling my videos with useless phraseology because I am worried about silence or because I don't know what to say. The first comment addressed this point and I said that I would try to keep that in mind with future recordings.

I feel sorry for the guy. 1. He meets a far superior opponent. 2. His stereotypic way of playing -he could limp call-4-bet -shove- make life difficult for a logical player like you. 3. No doubt that the learning session that You give is a first class lesson from an x-ordinary player but i rather loose 10 k "with balls " on 10 minutes than give You the money over 90 minutes. I want You to meet a hyperaggressive thinking player. But no doubt as a player You are a 10.

Shawn, thanks for the compliments. However, I do disagree with you about your assesment of my opponent. I think that he is a very good player (which you will see in parts 2 and 3). Note that being more aggressive does not equate with being a better player. There are very good and very bad aggressive players and very good and very bad passive (not overly passive of course) players. ... A good case in point is my own example: I am less aggressive than most.

Excellent video, great analysis. Niman, you certainly talk about a lot of good things and don't change any thing about that. The 'you know' thing you can certainly change that with a little bit of practice. I love your videos a lot.

Excellent vid! but I hope villain gets something going in 2nd and 3rd episodes, cause it's not that interesting and educational to watch a beaten down man get beat some more. At least not for long. btw, I don't care a slightest bit about "you know" thing. And noone should, when they get such great insight from top player. It's not communication training, it's poker training. And it's not like he doesn't have anything good to say and just fills time with "you knows"

Great Job! My only complaint is that you thought it was acceptable to not have inductive's mucked cards available when reviewing the video. This is invaluable. On the pocket sixes hand where you turned a set 10 minutes in, you thought he had nothing but the hand history (13min 51sec in) showed he had 75o which was middle pair on the flop of 7h 2s Qs. Because of this hand, you concluded (@15min) that you would give his river bets much more credit which was consequently a flawed conclusion.

ice320 and jman11, thanks for the critique about making the mucked cards available. I did not have the hand history in the recording area - and since I produced the video (adding audio) a couple weeks after I played the match, I did forget his cards on a few occasions. Your points are taken and I will make a point to make the mucked cards available in the future. Thanks!

For the love of God this is not an elocution training site! @ eltorrero et al, you should try watching some training videos on other sites. Some pros can bearly string two words together. Niman communicates very clearly. It is virtually impossible for anybody to elimate "thought markers" and "fillers" from their speech, unless they read from a script. Great vid Nimran.

The KJ hand where the board comes J76 rainbow you said you would not raise for value. If a good player sees that you raise your air and weak draws you will be easy to exploit. This is the type of player that bets second pair and calls at least one more street with it. I think this is the type of player that i would always raise KJ for value against, makes it much harder for him to play back at you with air.

Also the 66 hand where you get your set on the turn when the flush hits. Although it doesn´t make any sense for him to have a flush he wont come over the top over your c/r on river because you could easily have a flush so he will just fold the few hands he can vbet. He could have rivered a straight and he will never come over the top with those either,

The 89 hand where you river 2pair i would not c/r either because he wont call with barely anything that you beat in my opinion. I would also not lead because his calling and vbetting range will be almost exactly the same except for low Kx and he might hero call you with a 9 if he puts you on exactly 3x of spades that makes a very transparent bluff on the river. If you c/c he might bluff you and you get more information about his play.
