Samo, at 9:15 you call a 3bet with 44 but fold on a 933 2 tone flop. Since you mention that it's a good flop for you but you don't know enough about the villian's tendencies to continue profitably doesnt that make it a fold pre-flop? It was the one spot I noticed in the whole video that seemed bad to me. Thanks, flaky

Nice video, but to be true I prefer your session reviews and detail analyses of hands. It's nice to see you "in action", but sometimes I feel you seem to be confused with thinking, playing and talking at the same time and a lot of information regarding your thought process is getting lost. Nice video anyways.

Good vid, but whats that frequent background sound that sounds like "durrrr-durrrrr"? really annoying imo

flakydorf, thanks for the compliments and for the question. It has been a long time since I played this session, so I don't quite remember the hand in question. However, based on your description of it, I would agree with you that it was probably a bad call preflop if I don't have an understanding of how he is going to play postflop (and am planning to fold on such a favorable flop). The one caveat would be if the stack sizes were such that I could call his raise just for the purposes of set mining (especially if he was a fishy player would would stack off with a hand or bluff if I did hit my hand). If he was a player that seemed well balanced with his three betting (both preflop and postflop), and if I did not have enough of a handle on his game to be able to know if I could call on that flop, then I agree with you that I made a mistake with my preflop call.

Ghostmaster, thanks for the feedback. I live in the United States and can no longer play on the internet, so my future videos will have a lot of session reviews and hand analysis. So hopefully you will be happier with that format.

Hey Samo! Usually I love your videos and the way u explain your thought processes. But this one is really basic. I watched for like 25 minutes and have not found anything interesting at all (except for the spot where u told that u r cold calling any min-raise and the spot where u called 3bet w 44 and folded on good flop), so I turned it off and was a bit disappointed. Please dont get me wrong, u r a great player and coach. U have very unique style, u play very loose and cold call a lot. I think you could probably make a great series about playing out of position in raised pots or playing without the initiative. May be some power point video with concepts and examples. Most small stakes regs have a lot of troubles playing without the initiative with suited connectors, so this videos should be very useful. Im a subscriber on all training sites but nobody never done concept videos on playing without the initiative or without the initiative + OOP. I feel like u can be the one =)

Hi Niman, and thanks for the video.

I think some of the pre-flop play in this vid is a bit suspect, like calling w 33 to set-mine aginst a 4obb UTG raise and insta-calling a squeze with 44, but I really don't care because you do have some of the most interesting and thought provoking post flop lines.

Really enjoyed the vid and I hope you have recorded more sessions prior to Black Friday.

AJdd hand Stacks 100bb Shipapotamus raises MP to 30, Gith calls from CO, Btn folds, You flat AdJd from SB, BB folds Flop Qd 2d 2h(100) You check, Ship bets 70, Gith folds, You call Turn 9h (240) You check, Ship bets 165, You fold. My quetsion is: wouldn't an aggressive player like Shipapotamus 2 barrel here with a pretty high frequency(both flushdraws,KJ,KT,JT,T8s) given that you will fold anything worse than a queen on the turn(all flushdraws w/o a pair, all small and medium pps)? I just feel like with our exact hand, we're beating all of his semibluffs(except AKhh) in this spot, not to mention if the board does brick off his 3rd barrel bluffing frequency might fall a lot because our range looks like a strong queen a lot of the time.

in the beginning of the vid i see u float a donk bet with 55 on 96x hh and fold to a turn bet. On what cards r u gonna continue?how do u perceive his donking range to be?I dont see how 55 is going to get showdown often enough to make this a std call. 3.40 u flat a 3bet with 64 s vs a guy u mentionned a few moments ago was on the tighter side.Is this a standard call preflop for u or do u think u have implied odds?fwiw I dont see how u can make this plus EV with these stack sizes and that weak of a hand.

I too find the AJdd fold suspect, since u have so many low-middle PP in your range I'd expect him too 2nd barrel that with a very wide range, it seems quite likely u have the best hand right now, +a bunch of outs. I have always loooved ur videos tho. gl hf Niman !
