Pretty cool idea for a video. I didn't get too much out of it other than the entertainment value I could get from a lot of other places. I hope this doesn't come off as harsh sounding. I'd like some more poker educational content in general in terms of videos, especially from someone as good as you are. The live / HH replayer part of it was pretty cool! Liked the format, I think it's really interesting to hear about important moments in any great high stakes player's career. Maybe a video like this once a month or so would be a good idea.

Cool stuff. I remember the KQ vs KJ hand from your well thread. Personally I prefer regular session video reviews for the strategic value but this was a cool idea also.

Cool change of pace to do once in a blue moon. You might want to consider shaving your mustache though :p

i really enjoyed this video format but it will only work when you are talking about a small selection of hands, not if you are playing a session

Love the video format, very well executed I think. I remember being super tilted when you were interviewed by Bart Hansen (I think) after that bellegio tournament and he totally ignored you when you told him you made a jack high call down.

I like the format

I thought this video format was awesome. It seemed more personal and just made it easier to pay attention imo. very good video, and its interesting to hear about the struggles and triumphs throughout your poker career.

Hi Phil, I enjoyed the video format, and would like to see it in the future (not every time, once in maybe 3 or something, for like a philosophy video). But I don't like the content at all, because really it's pokertainment. It's cool to listen to some nice plays and sick hands, but honestly I don't know what I can take out of it. However, during your first hand I did take something out of "taking shots". That being said, I think that information would be better translated in an article. GL

Hi Phil, I really like the Biography content of the video more than the actual strategic side of it. It is important for me to understand what mistakes you and the other professionals made and how you learnt from them on your way to the top so I really appreciated this video and would like to see one from each member. i love the J/4 hand when you consider his "muck equity." reminds me of a very memorable hand... long story short: approx 6 max live $2/5. i'm raising every hand and this asian guy decides he wants to come move his seat to my direct left. bunch of limpers (std) so i squeeze in SB w/ 9/5ss, he snaps in BB and UTG overcalls. A/Q/2 sxx, i cbet, BB snap calls, UTG snap folds. turn is 3s, i think his range is like A/8 - A/T almost exclusively, and that i have reasonable FE...

When I caught that glimpse I thought, maybe somehow I'm good, or he'll muck? I see him squeezing his cards, still in agony. So I just did my best to stall because it looked like he was about to muck, and he did! I tried not to embarrass him and just kind of slide my hand to the dealer, but I already know she's going to make me showdown to drag the pot. Sure enough, she shows the table and the dude jumps out of his chair cursing himself. Apparently, he had 9/5o and thought that I would fold!

i know this is like my 10th comment, but I just finished the video and wanted to leave you the feedback you asked for. Honestly, I think you could make videos about anything and people would pay for it. Obviously, you're very intelligent and have a great outlook on life. That goes a long way. I think underneath, you're truly a philosopher. You're search is for truth in every aspect of life, and your fulfillment is sharing those truths with anyone simply willing to listen, without prejudice.

heheh when that ace hit the turn on the last hand i knew river was gonna be a king and how it was gonna pan out. very funny. anyway, yeah, these video blogs are interesting but still they are better as a bonus thing and wouldn't really be good to replace open slots for strat videos if you like doing them i'll watch them but still prefer actual strat videos every week :)

can you make your videos louder? i'm on max volume and still have trouble hearing it.
