in the AQ hand where you decide to flat preflop, when you get squeesed do you think the majority of the value from that situation comes from your opponenents squeesing and folding to a 4bet or from when they shove over your 4bet? if it's from them folding dont you think you have enough other hands in your flatting range (like pp's and bluffs) that can backraise? I feel like AQ plays much better in a 3bet pot than a single raised pot while it doesnt do that well getting all-in pf so (..continues)

so against a player who calls a lot of 3bets u'd get a lot more value isolating yourself with him than trying to induce action behind you.

eddddge, though much of the value comes from catching players squeezing behind me, there is a lot of value in having a deceptive hand in a single raised pot. In addition, AQo plays better vs. a squeeze than a hand like 77, since I will often run into hands like KQs and ATs, AJo, that decide to take a stand. I do agree that the player who opened makes a difference, whether he calls 3bets or not.

Phil, excellent format ... i really enjoy watching specific hands in this HSA series rather than 45 minutes of regular playing ... i think it's good to have both types of videos ... but mebbe once a month, you can make a vid like this series again ... cool beans ... thanks. yeah, vids between 20 min and 30 min are best, IMO ... ;-)
