Niman: The concept of the video is good. But, you don't have to repeat yourself 30 times when making a point. This video could have been done in 15 minutes instead of 50 without losing anything valuable.

Thanks again Niman. Love all your stuff. Maybe this is kind of an elementary point but its relevant to the 54s hand where you turn a 5. I guess not only do you have showdown value against his missed draws you also have 5 additional (hidden) outs against his over pair/top pair type hands which will likely bet or at least check/call the river. Thats equity that shouldn't be overlooked.

mmecca, although it is true that I do have five outs against overpair/top pair type hands with my paired five, the operative concept here is that you have reasonable showdown value WITHOUT IMPROVING. That is the first question that you need to ask yourself when determining whether or not you can chase your draw. The additional five out equity, while certainly important in calculating your overall EV of a call is an ancillary point.

David, I'm sorry that you felt that way. I was trying to repeat the important points, because they are very important concepts and I wanted to emphasize them. I guess I might have overdone the repetition.

niman, pls do not hesitate to repeat whatever you feel is necessary and comes naturally to you =) we understand why it is being repeated and appreciate your thought out reasoning.. also if an intelligent, well-respected, highly-regarded, successful poker pro/coach (not to mention millionaire) explains concepts/reasoning, i listen .. in fact, that's why we're all here =)

Koshanahan, thanks for the positive feedback:  I really appreciate it.  I do understand David's point though, and having rewatched the video, I do agree that I might have overdid the repetition a bit.  I really value all constructive feedback - positive and negative.  Thanks again!

you're very welcome =) _________________ niman, what are your thoughts on one or two interview/conversational style videos where you and another BlueFirepoker pro/staff discuss thoughts on various topics e.g. poker, life in general, interesting goals, current affairs, philosophy etc etc____________________ I think it would be pretty interesting as well as something new to have a conversational series going between the Bluefirepoker team/staff ... do you have any thoughts on this? also do you have any current blogs going on? cheers =)

I guess a player like niman can repeat as often as he wants to point out what we have to remember .For some of us it`s easier when heard 5 times than only 1 time !!

ofc this is very basic here and that`z why david feel there are to much repetition ,but when sthe suff gets more complicated you would wish he repeated even more :-)

    just my 2 cents..

Are the 3 considerations in when to chase as applicable to tournaments as they are to cash games?
