I don't see how your VPIP can be less than 25 if you are opening hands like KJo UTG or KTo from the HJ. I play 32/27 and rarely if ever open those hands in those positions. I would open KTo in the HJ if ilvens was the BB but that wasn't the case when he said you don't know why you folded KTo. Do you know how your stats are that tight if you are opening hands like that with a decent frequency?

My best guess is that I don't play as many middle connectors as many other players, particularly not from early position. I didn't go back and check, but I know at the time I made the comment I thought the KTo hand was CO, not HJ. If I held that KTo on the HJ than I would often be folding, and that would explain both my actual play, and why I was a bit confused by it. I dont consider KJo a standard UTG open for me, its a hand I will only open UTG with the right table conditions, most importantly weaker opponents in the blinds. Another factor could be that my 3bet % is relatively low (approx 5-7%), so I could be losing a few vpip points there as well.

Oh, ok. Yeah, I didn't see anything particularly loose, but the way the comment was made had me confused about what you consider standard from HJ and UTG, this makes more sense. Good content. I think especially for videos aimed to newer players, going over EVERY hand is beneficial. For higher stakes videos, most viewers want to see the interesting or difficult spots only because they all know how to handle some other situations, but for beginning players, even these "standard" spots might be unknown territory.

ATs is a hand which plays well postflop, flopping both strong pairs and draws, so I want to be calling with it in position unless I can expect to face a squeeze very often. You are right ATs will be dominated some preflop, but overall it is only at a small equity disadvantage vs an average UTG opener's entire range, and this equity disadvantage is made up for by our postflop positonal advantage.

@26 minutes: AKs flop 775 with heart draw. I believe a raise here could be interpreted as a pocket pair such 88-TT that doesnt want to see an overcard on the turn

Raising with such marginal hands as 88-TT on this flop isn't a good standard play for the same reasons these hands don't play well for a 3bet preflop. The reasons for this are that these hands still have plenty of value in calling, but dont do a good job of either folding out much better or get called by much worse. Also our opponent still has plenty of stronger hands in his range which he can be comfortable either raising for value, or just representing, forcing us to either play a big pot with a marginal hand, or fold a hand that still had enough value to play well on a later street.
