I actually liked this video a lot. The analysis of his hand ranges was interesting regardless of whether he was good or not. The opponent was definitely a weaker player but that should be encouraging for all of us that play lower stakes- there are guys that bad playing NL with 100k+ stacks...

I liked this video because just like most of Phil's other videos it got me thinking about my own game and own opponents and the ongoing adjustments that need to be made. As obvious as it may sound I think the value of all of Phil's videos comes not from how he plays each hand, but why he does what he does and what his thought process is when he is doing it. So much of what he says sounds obvious when he says it (and much of it is already present in our games), but his ability to verbalize it i

(cont. from below) is amazing. FWiW, I 10-14 table 1/2 PLO where I don't have much time to do anything but play hands straight forwardly, but approaching the game with balance and throwing in just a few of the wrinkles that Phil talks about makes watching even a 1 table CAP NL video extremely valuable to me and is something that I do to help "warm-up" for a session.

noticed you cbet a lot in this video. Was this probably a result of the board textures? Or would you try to take a more passive flop strategy vs this guy since he seems very cally, hates folding, etc. Just kinda wondering about a general plan vs loose passive types with cbetting headsup, since they call so often on the flop it probably isnt +EV on its own all of the time (ie. regardless of board texture) even though you likely makeup for that fact on the turn+river.

Your teaching us how to exploit a fish.if hes hiitting all those hands its tough. You can't put any moves on them. I think you made a lot of mistakes. Yo udidn't bet yoru ace 2 and he would of called on the turn. Medium bluff raises don't work but all ins will make them fold. They like to protect there stack but be calling stations. Overall i think you played poorly tilting. I did like the aa take your time raise. I think if you lead out fast he would of just called. Your faster leads bugged him

i like this a lot, and ablsolutely agree with what you said at the begining. BF members usually don't play regulars and very tough opponenets. We could profit a lot more watching vids from nl 0.5/1-10/20 playing weak opponents.
