Jason, great video, but on your 89d hand at minutes 9-10 you repeatedly say that you checked the turn, but you bet! Your analysis in the proceeding minutes about hands your opponent puts you on and the success of double barreling there is based on you checking back the turn and gets really confusing because you bet 80 percent of the pot on the turn.

Also, at minute 17 you open up j7 utg. Is this for balancing purposes or table dynamic? I would like to hear your logic on why this is profitable. You also said you opened j7 in the "cutoff", but it was utg.

Hey eliduque. Thanks a lot for the feedback! Regarding the 89dd hand. I rewatched and see what you are talking about. I thought it was a 3bet pot when doing the commentary, so I looked at the pot size and decided I must not have bet the turn. The good news is that my analysis still applies as I explained the reasons why we should be betting. It just turns out that we did. :) With the J7 hand, it was both UTG and the CO. The two players to my left weren't dealt hands so it was effectively the CO

Hi. Like ur vids very much. Min. 50: U call a squeeze with ATs. What Range du u give the squeezer? U think he will be squeezing light vs. UTG and although there is a 50 BB stack that overcalled?

Regarding the decision of whether to raise the 98dd or to just flat being 150bb deep in order to balance our raising range. What would think about only raising a very polarized range at first and only adding the combo draws when / if our opponment adjusts? Or do you think this might be underestimating a typical midstakes reg?

Becks, the player who squeezed appeared to be pretty active over a small sample, but I would still expect his range to mostly be strong (mostly big aces and pairs TT+). Even at 115bbs deep, I think its probably a close fold if he were the only player in the hand. I actually think the 50bb player being there makes it a close call as he is almost always calling the 3bet. He seemed like a very weak player who didn't have a very strong hand considering he just flatted the first time around when it would already be 3-way with him in the SB. Adding him in the hand boosts our implied odds a bit with a hand like ATs. This is especially true when we expect him to play poorly post-flop. It is definitely a close pre-flop spot and folding can't be too bad. My guess is that the difference in EV of calling vs folding is probably quite small, but calling will increase your variance a bit.

Tygoulouss, I think starting with a very polarized range is a very good strategy at 100bbs deep, especially when its not a blind battle. I feel like people flat wider in blind battles as they expect us to be 3betting really wide. At 150bb deep, I think you probably should start with at least a somewhat balanced range at these stakes against regs. I would expect regs at these stakes to be flatting pretty often that deep. It is possible that I am overestimating the regs at this stake, but that is my first instinct. Of course, you can experiment with starting with a polarized strategy at whatever stakes you are playing and see how people react. Just be ready to adjust as you mentioned.
