Hi Jason, when you were talking about bluffing the river in the 99 hand at about 30min, what sizing would you choose there? A big bet close to pot size like you did when you hit your gutshot with K6 just before or a smaller bet to give yourself a good price?

Hey tygoulouss. I would bet a pretty similar amount, but maybe a little closer to 3/4PSB, I think. The situations are actually quite different as his range is likely a lot weaker here than in the hand where he bet/called the turn OOP. In the other hand, I think bluffing the river would be pretty bad as his range is a lot stronger and my range can contain a lot more bluffs than in the 99 hand.

On the 53o hand when you check back turn and hit the gutshot on the river, he opens for 14 into a pot of 20, you raised to 42 or 46, I was expecting something like 60 or more. In my opinion it's a good spot to rep a big bluff, cuz of your check back on the turn. Obviously you don't check back turn your top pair or better hands and also there's a good chance you'd barrel your drawy hands or backdoor flush. So on the river you'll get called by his value bet hands which became bluff catchers: top pair, 2pair or better. And I think he'd call very light, so why not bet big, your bet looks like a bluff and you're kinda beating him since you guys sat down. I'm just saying that at this point, with the hands he'd call 42 or 46 he'd also call 65. Well, I guess you'd heave to fold if he shoves, but that's not related to your bet size and shouldn't happen all that often.
