Jason's Simpeman PLO Review

Happy to see PLO series from you just like always. But I can assure you that the PLO games (at low stakes) are now filled up with lots of preflop passive but postflop pretty aggro players who don't fold to cbets and bluff a lot on later streets and in general play sometimes very tricky. I give you two examples: 1) on the board Q53r93 when the guy did call twice and shipped river, I have bluff catched here in the last 3 months some of the time and I did it with success (although it is always a difficult decision without more reads). I mean you hadn't a Q to bluff catch but I only wanted to point out that his pot leading OTR is not always the nuts like it had been in the past . (On this specific board, most likely I would have folded a Q too cause the flop has so few draws) 2) On the AK8s board when Hero had A765, the turn was a blank 2 and you would have checked flop and turn. But exactly these type of villain like Dokholidej1 seems to be are going to bluff tons of rivers (basically lots of scary rivers, cause they know your range is pretty weak and might contain lots of air) when you check back the turn; and on the flop he is calling with any 8 or K and sometimes even with QQ/JJ and a gutshot/backdoor flush. Therefore I am now barreling this hand vs villains like him 100% of the time , whereas I was taking more passive lines (like you recommend) around 6 months ago. But 6 months ago they haven't been calling in this spot without a flushdraw or top pair.

Must make another comment, there are so many spots in this vid which are interesting, next time, I should really take notes before commenting. In the first hand where you recommend leading 3 Way on 986r with 6679. I am not a fan of this. Even if we have the best hand here very often, but we have practically no nut outs and lots of reversed implied odds when running to 99, 88, 98 (most of the 98 combos have have at least a nut gut shot going with it), straight and a straight draw and I really don't want to get raised whereas I don't mind to see the flop getting checked through and playing a smaller pot. Even if our donk is called, we really don't know where we are at OTT: Slowplayed straight, higher set?

Thank you for all the comments, Shahrad! I will certainly keep in mind your observations of the small stakes PLO player pool when I review future vids in the series. I will try to outline strategies for playing against more postflop aggro opponents as well as passive opponents. I will take a look at the specific hands you commented on sometime soon as well.
