One thing that you didnt mention that I think is really important to improving as a newer player is to play fewer tables so you can pay much closer attention. Not only are you able to think more deeply and creatively about hands but you are able to 'take in' more which are all super super important as a new player ... after you get to a certain number of tables you really dont have any time for that. This had a huge impact on my learning experience I feel. You also really want to do this before you get a lot of experience playing because it's hard to break old habits PLUS shift your mindset/playstyle 90 degrees (kind of like learning a new language at age 25 vs ages 5-10). Yes this slows down your winrate and I've had days where I kinda wished I just mass multitabled for a couple years, but I know that there's simply no way I would be even 1/10th the player I am now if I did that so I don't regret it at all. The truth though is that it boils down to what you want out of poker... if you want immediate success then stick with multitabling... but if you want to be the best you can, you'll have to make sacrifices (unless you're a genius like DD). Thanks for the video DD.
