Hi Brian, good video, thanks! I think you explained the math very well and it wasn't confusing to me at all. At the end there was a spot where you would have called with 86o in the big blind with 1.5 odds. I actually didn't know that I can't count my own big blind as dead money and would have assumed to have 2.x odds or something. Down to what odds are you calling any two in the bb, assuming it doesn't hurt your stack too much? In a previous video, you mentioned there are lots of push charts flying around. I have some troubles with early/middle position shoves and would love to take a look at one of this charts. Do you know a good one and if so could you post a link, please? Thanks again, I hope you find the time to answer my questions.

You cant count your own BB as dead money if its going to be part of what you are investing. If there is an all in for 2800, and you have 500 posted, your BB is part of your investment and the SB+antes are the dead money. Think of it this way, if you call the 2800 shove from the button and both blinds fold, the blinds and antes will be sitting and waiting to see who the winner is. If you are the BB, only the SB and antes(the chips, not the players) will be sitting and waiting to see who the winner is so that the dead money can be rewarded to them. If I am getting 2:1 and it does not change the equity I have in the tournament too much in a negative direction then I am calling with any 2 cards 98% of the time. As far as charts, I honestly dont even know of a good one. I never used them, I am very much a "feel" type player.

I have to totally disagree with you here Brian. Once we've posted our BB it's no longer ours, it's now part of the pot. Had it folded to you, you would've had to call 12704 into a pot of 30104 giving you odds of 2.4-to-1. We don't get that BB back if we fold, hence it's no longer ours.

Dead money = money that has noone to claim it, if your still involved in a hand your blind isnt dead money...so brian is right about it not being called dead...but bedside your also right(brian is mistaken)in saying its apart of the pot and should be calculated into the pot odds. Great video Brian, your a very talented player and a good coach!

Hi Brian! I have a question about 19:10 hand of K5o . was it profitable to minraise and call BB ? Thank you!
