totaly agree.. make him do a blogg/podcast fansite whatever, One of the main arguments for me to be bf member is Alans tight and stats using game. That kind of game is hard to find on other sites. This just makes me sad =/

Sorry to hear that guys. I only intended it to be one episode but it stretched to two. I was going to release the second half later, but due to our schedules we weren't able to do the next installment and I had to release this one. THe next one is done and uploaded and it will be all content from now on. I apologize for disappointing you guys and making you feel like you've wasted money w/ your subscription.

We were quite rightly hesitant about releasing episodes four and five because we were aware this had never been done before. There was a request from a Bluefirepoker member for more information on the life story as well as the poker content and this is why we did the interview. I am gutted that you feel you have wasted your time but hopeful others will get value you from it. Episode 6 onwards is purely technical and back to the Alan Jackson coaching that you all know and love. Ching

i did not mean to insult you. your story may be interesting for some people. but i personally am really not interested in hearing somebodys story of his life in a video on a poker teaching site. the first episodes have been very good content starting from the real basics and i have been looking forward to seeing how that would develop. so i already was dissappointed not getting anything of it in the last episode and even more not getting anything of it in this episode either. you telling your story in 15 or 20 minutes would have been absolutely enough for me. i think a blog or a extra bonus vid for those who were interestet would have been a better way.

I didn't take it as an insult far from it. You make a very good point with your comments.

Episodes 6 onwards continue with the content that you first joined the video series for.

I personally think chings story and also others success story's, could be used as a guide or a road map for not only poker success but success in life. Although, I probably would be a little upse if i saw this about a year ago. I also would think I'd be wasting my time BC what was most important was just purepoker strategy. I took all this life balance junk for granted. However as you play poker for longer you realize that in order to improve to the next level you need to learn more than just poker strategy. Imo

    ChrisMintz,

Poker and life are very alike. For some people poker comes very easy for them and for others it is very difficult. Let me give you an example. I have a friend who travels the world circuit and wins thousands of pounds a year in the worlds biggest tournaments. He is 22-years of age, single and lives with his parents.

My friend believes he is in a better situation than I am to be successful because of our lifestyle differences. I was married with a child trying to juggle a job and a hobby that I wanted to turn into a job. My friend knows my game and believes I have what it takes to be in the same position than him. It was not technical poker talent that stopped my progress it was my life choices. I imagine if my friend was to join BFP then he wouldn't want to listen to my story. He would only be interested in improving his technical game.

But these types of people do not constitute the entire subscriber list at BFP. If they did then the first few videos of this series would not have been so popular. If you want to take your poker to another level then your life choices are just as important, if not more so, than your choices for technical poker improvement. This is purely my opinion from towards the lower end of the ladder but why I believed we thought people would like to hear these audio videos.

I have no qualms with people venting their frustration as long as it is constructive. The more comments the better because it gives Alan a steer as to where you want the series to go.

    Ching

My favorite quote "you don`t get something for nothing but it doesn't have to be money. You just got to think outside of the box." :)

don't wanna insult anybody but this is philosophy and psychology for fifteen year old kids. everyone has to find his own way - of course, but ching, you are not even a winning online player by now. you are a successful writer and a loving family man and father - and this is worth far more than anything else...BUT i want to learn how to play poker and be able to beat the game - this is the reason why i became a member and why i'm paying for it. there are hundreds of poker blogs out there telling a lot of different and interesting life stories where you can learn about life and so on.... ;-) best from vienna
