Hey Aaron, enjoyed the video series, although I personally prefer the format of reviewing past tournies with Universal Replayer. A couple of questions regarding this most recent video: 1) At around 11.00 in the top-left, you get dealt JJ in the sb 50bbs effective pre-ante, and the tight cutoff opens. Personally I am definately flatting here, since we aren't really getting it in good versus a 4bet shove, and we lose value when he folds out alot of hands that we are dominating. (unless we know he's flatting wide? Although considering that this player is a winning reg, I doubt he's peeling a flop too wide. So yeah anyway, were you planning to 3bet call or 3bet fold, and why is this better than flatting pre? 2) At around 24.00 in the top-left, dhilton12 raises your flop cbet on a board of A77, and like you said he should never have value here. So would you advocate a flop 3bet shove here? Because he is almost always turning his hand into a bluff here and isn't gonna call, since he would figure to have almost 0% equity? I mean, we have almost 0% equity if called but because we aren't shoving for much more (and he still folds his bluffs), we are kinda getting a good price, and he doesn't need to fold that often. It's not a move that I would generally make, it just seems like a good spot! Maybe you wouldn't have given up if you wasn't recording a live video? I look forward to the next vid!

    Hey thanks for your comments!
The JJ hand is a situation where his tightness and the strength of our hand vs stack size might influence me to call and where I might not be absolutely dominating a 4bet range. I felt that my aggressive image counteracted those things (I expected him to not fold hands he might otherwise fold) and I was planning on getting it in preflop if he raised again or postflop on most boards if he called. There are a lot of players, especially at these stakes and in a 6max tournament, who 3bet a bunch of bluff hands (especially in the small blind) and don't balance very well. As a result 4bet ranges are almost always fairly wide even from a tight players. He may be folding some hands I dominate but a lot of the hands he folds have 30-50% equity in the pot+position+initiative if flat call. Also a minor consideration is that if I don't 3bet JJ here I can't really ever bluff without being very exploitable, and a strategy of always flatting the small blind lets the big blind in too often.
The KQ hand where my cbet gets raised is a difficult situation. I do have mid pairs there a lot that I can call his raise with and then shut down. And I would definitely continue (some mix of call and raise) with any ace, seven, or flush draw. It's hard for me to just put him on a bluff when he isn't representing much by raising. A weird line can just as often be trying to induce me to spew. I considered shoving but without any kind of read against a good reg I'm usually just going to decide based on where I am on my range and I decided king high is low enough to fold.

Hi Aaron, loving this series! I really like the format (live play). I get to see much more dynamics then skipping through hh's in universal replayer, are you gonna continue with this series? regards, Bart
