Phil can you please comment on your raise with mid pair on a x9sTs flop? I feel it's a good play and I've seen a few pros make similar plays. Could you please provide an analysis?

On the A7 hand that I 3bet and cold called the 4bet suckoutgenius had just lost a big 200bb pot and I thought he might be frustrated, put in too much money with a random hand, and then have to fold to aggression postflop since my range looks like a slowplayed JJ+.

Oh, and I held an A blocker, making it less likely he had AA, and less likely that he'd be comfortable coming over the top w/ air 200bbs deep

You know what's funny. The other day I was playing and the exact flop came out and I had 97 and I did raise almost thinking there was no other way to play it. None the less I was 3 bet and I had to fold. Still liked the way I played it.

I know there is a lot I'm leaving out here in terms of stack sizes, history, game type, opp, etc. although....
