JP has been playing poker since late 2007 when he made his initial deposit on PartyPoker while living in Canada. In 2008, he started working on his HU game and tried to diversify his game selection by playing both HU and 6max NLHE. At this time he worked on his skills intensively by receiving coaching from some of the games top players, including fellow BFP pro Coleman, DogIsHead, MagicNinja, BikiniWax, and others. In 2009, JP began studying and working on PLO. Since then, he has spent all of his time playing exclusively NLHE and PLO, both HU and 6max. He has coached over 20 students in his time, varying in stakes from 100NL to 2000NL and 100PLO to 1000PLO. In his coaching, JP focuses on making adjustments and developing reads, as well as alternative lines and creative thinking. JP recently completed his college degree in the summer of 2011.
