Andres Pereyra

Andres Pereyra began playing online poker recreationally in 2004 an experienced success as a winner at small stakes SNGs and MTTs.  Unfortunately, he never had solid bankroll management, so every time he had a profit he would cash out.  In February of 2008, Andres lost his full-time job as a carpenter and found himself with a $220 bankroll on his FTP account.  After building his bankroll to only $400, Andres gave SNG coach “Jennifear” half of this money for coaching.  Before the end of June 2008, Andres had made over $30k.  In October of 2008, he finished 2nd in the FTP 750k for $82k and three days later won a Pokerstars tournament for $22k.

Along with 2009 came a bad downswing in which Andres found himself once again looking for a “real-life job”.  He was fortunate enough to find a backer starting in March of 2010.  In May of 2010, Andres chopped the FTP 750k for $105k.  At this time Andres went to Vegas, met a bunch of poker minds, and upon returning back to his home in Alaska in June he went on a tear.  He won a Pocketfives Triple Crown, final-tabled over 50 MTTs in two months, won a UB Sunday Major for $48k, won a FTP 100r, won a $165 for $60k, and he has never looked back.

On September 1st, 2010, Andres started a coaching/backing project by selecting a handful of micro to low-limit players.  In just 7 months they had made around $225k profit, including over ten 5-figure scores and a Sunday Million chop.  He continued with this successful project up until Black Friday.

In total, Andres has almost 2million in winnings.  He has over twenty 5-figure scores and his biggest single win was for $105k.  Post Black Friday, Andres finds himself spending a majority of his time coaching a group of students that are experiencing great success.  Andres considers personal friends and coaches Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis, Jennifear, and Jerry "herschelw" Watterson the most influential poker players to his game and success.

In his spare time, Andres enjoys watching classic movies, reading books, and listening to heavy metal music.
