    5/10 River gets overbet allin
    18 Apr 2009 at 7:37am

    Villain plays 18/14/3.8  (2.6k hands).

Can make moves. Cbets turns 46% and rivers 67%.

Normally I 3bet this pf, I can't specifically remember why I didn't this hand. When I do flat I usually check raise the flop for value, which also makes the hand easier to play. Again I can't specifically remember why I didn't. I guess I played the hand poorly, which leads to an interesting river decision.

I have no idea why he would overbet the river allin other than to get me to fold or level me with the complete nuts. It would seem that the absolute top of my river range would be AJ and that I would haev a hard time calling even that.

Calling preflop sometimes is obviously fine.  I would almost always c/r this flop though and be ready to get it in.  The river looks like you have to fold, especially since all but one of the straight draws came through (and even that one now has a little bit of showdown value and is more likely to check back).  He's either leveling you with the river shove, or making a good bluff with that rare time that he actually does have air here from a missed flush draw or is turning JT into a bluff.  I don't think you're really getting odds to call this river though.

     River seems like a fold.

    What if you had AJ?

These numbers are incomplete and sloppily done is 2 minutes, but it gives you a rough idea that its likely very close with AJ and could go either way.  Without past history I would lean towards a fold though since I think these numbers are a little bit skewed towards the strength of hero (some spade draws are missing, but he won't always be shoving A8 type hands).
