After me pretty bad run in poker over the last few months i pulled out my holiday card and went to Portugal for 2 weeks surfing with some friends, it was definitely one of the best holidays i have taken, scored great surf and great weather. Have to say Portugal's one of the nicest places i have ever visited, and seemed really untouched by commercial tourism that seems to be changing so many previously authentic travel destinations (for example Bali and Morroco have changed massively in the last 10 years with many hotels popping up along the cliffs and McDonalds on the beaches). I found many of the locals to be genuine old school portuguese, many didn't speak English which was refreshing b/c i needed to learn some phrases :) Also the ladies were unbelievably hot, i fell in love ten times over i think.
